Step 1: Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In a microwave-safe bowl or small mixing bowl, mash the banana until smooth. Stir in melted butter (or oil), brown sugar, milk, and vanilla.
Step 2: Add Dry Ingredients
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Mix until just combined—don’t overmix. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if you like.
Step 3: Microwave It
- Transfer batter into a lightly greased microwave-safe dish (a ramekin, small takeaway box, or ceramic bowl works well).
- Microwave on high for 90 seconds, then check.
- If still wet in the center, microwave in 15–20 second bursts until cooked through (usually 2.5 to 3 minutes total depending on your microwave).
- The top should look set and the center should spring back when gently pressed.
Step 4: Cool & Serve
- Let sit for 2–3 minutes before eating (it firms up as it cools).
- Serve warm as-is or with a drizzle of peanut butter, yogurt, or extra banana slices.

Serving Tips
For a quick breakfast: Pair with Greek yogurt and a drizzle of honey.
As a dessert: Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dusting of cinnamon.
In a hurry? Eat it straight from the bowl — no judgment here.
