- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Add green food coloring to the batter until you reach the desired shade of green. Mix well.
- Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy. Add more milk if needed for a spreadable consistency.
- Once the cupcakes are cool, frost them generously with the green frosting and sprinkle with decorations as desired. Serve and enjoy!
